From the Field: Advancing Corrosion Intelligence

Following a series of industry engagements across Singapore, one thing is clear—the conversation around corrosion is evolving. It’s no longer just about fixing damage; it’s about understanding it earlier, managing it smarter, and preventing it altogether.

During March and April 2026, Jessica Gatt, our Managing Director, had the opportunity to attend Asia Pacific Maritime and Singapore Maritime Week, connecting with operators, engineers, and asset owners navigating increasingly complex challenges across diverse marine environments.

What stood out most wasn’t just the technology, it was the people. It was great to meet so many professionals across the industry to have genuine, practical conversations, and exchange ideas on how we can collectively improve the way corrosion is managed with the central aim of improving longevity and reducing CAPEX.

Singapore Maritime Week 2026

Singapore Maritime Week 2026 reinforced this direction, with a clear focus on decarbonisation, digitalisation, and collaboration. Through the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Australian maritime-tech companies -including Marine Protection Systems (MPS)- engaged with over 20,000 industry leaders from 80 countries, showcasing innovative solutions across the sector.

Our contribution focused on advancing corrosion intelligence. The MPS Corrosion Intelligence Platform —Marine Linx— is designed to move beyond reactive maintenance, providing greater visibility into corrosion behaviour, enabling earlier intervention, and supporting more informed decision-making.

The response has been strong, reflecting a clear industry need for practical, data-driven solutions that improve asset performance and reduce long-term risk.

We’re grateful for the people we met, the conversations shared, and the insights gained. Most importantly, we look forward to building on these connections and collaborating with those driving the industry forward. This is just the start, stay tuned.

Corrosion isn’t random, and with the right intelligence, it becomes far more manageable.
