MPS Across America: Connecting, Training, Protecting

At Marine Protection Systems (MPS), corrosion prevention is more than what we do—it’s what drives us. It’s about protecting vessels, supporting marine professionals, and helping the industry move forward with smarter, more sustainable solutions.

In early February 2026, our Managing Directors, Jess Gatt and Brian Gatt, set out on an important journey across the United States with a clear purpose: to reconnect with partners, strengthen relationships, support our distribution network, and continue sharing knowledge that helps protect marine assets worldwide.

Our journey began on the East Coast, in New York and Connecticut, where we had the opportunity to reconnect with industry colleagues and long-standing partners. These moments are always meaningful to us—because behind every system we protect and every product we deliver, there are people who share our commitment to doing things properly.

From there, we travelled south to Florida, including Fort Lauderdale, one of the world’s most active marine centres. Florida has always been an important region for MPS, and this visit allowed us to spend valuable time with partners, provide technical guidance, and further strengthen the foundations that support our growth across North America.

We then headed to the Pacific Northwest, where the marine culture runs deep. In Seattle, and while working in incredible locations such as Anacortes and Port Townsend—known proudly as the Timber Boat Capital of the United States, we were reminded of the importance of preserving not only modern vessels, but also the heritage and craftsmanship that define this industry. Supporting professionals in these regions and contributing to the longevity of these assets is something we take great pride in.

Our journey continued down the West Coast to California, visiting Long Beach and San Diego, where we delivered specialised corrosion prevention training to professionals at Safe Harbor Marinas in Shelter Island. Education is one of the most important parts of our mission. By sharing knowledge and providing practical, real-world training, we help marine technicians and professionals better understand corrosion risks and how to prevent them effectively.

Throughout the trip, we were also proud to spend time with CMP Group, our Master Distributor for the United States and Canada, whose professionalism and commitment continue to play a key role in supporting our customers across the region.

We worked closely with the Derema Group, providing hands-on training and sales support, ensuring they are fully equipped to represent MPS and deliver the level of service and expertise our partners expect.

One of the most exciting outcomes of this visit was the opportunity to welcome new distribution partners into the MPS network. We are proud to now be working with Fisheries Supply in Seattle and Lewis Marine in Florida—two highly respected organisations within the marine industry. Being able to train and support their teams directly ensures they are ready to provide expert guidance and corrosion prevention solutions to their customers from day one.

This journey was not just about business. It was about strengthening trust, sharing knowledge, supporting our partners, and continuing to build a global network of professionals who share our vision for better, more sustainable corrosion prevention.

Every year, we continue to grow—not just in reach, but in impact. Our commitment remains clear: to provide innovative, environmentally responsible corrosion protection solutions, backed by real expertise and genuine support for Australia and the worldwide marine community.

We are incredibly grateful to all our partners, distributors, clients, and friends across the United States for their trust and warm welcome. Your support allows us to continue doing what we do best—protecting marine assets and supporting the professionals who depend on them.

This is only the beginning of what promises to be an exciting year ahead. We look forward to continuing this journey together.
